differently than they do in towns. Cities change in the course of their long history, and people must and do work together to improve their neighborhoods.
Dorchester was chosen to be the core neighborhood of focus. It is the historic heart of residential Boston. It is a neighborhood that clearly reflects the themes of the unit- city neighborhoods, treasured old buildings that become treasured new buildings with citizen action, and how neighborhoods change because of immigration and industry.
