Julius Caesar, the Great Grammarian and most famous of all the Roman generals, wrote Commentarii, summaries of his military exploits, to justify his campaigns abroad (in the Bellum Gallicum) and his position in the Roman Civil War (in the Bellum Civile). This year we will read selections from Bellum Gallicum.
