Here are some books that I recommend.
For adults:
Cultivating Creativity through Projects, Passion, Peers, and Play Mitchel Resnick, MIT Media Lab Published by MIT Press (2017)
No Fear Coding - Computational Thinking Across the K-5 Curriculum by Heidi Williams. This book is also available through amazon.
Learn to Program With Scratch by Majed Marji This book is a bit more technical, the index is handy.
For adults and students:
There are a few DK books on Scratch, and they are very popular. The clear, color illustrations show step by step directions for creating games and animations. We have them in our library.
Scratch Coding Cards: Creative Activities for Kids by Natalie Rusk is a box of cards that are handy to pass out to students so they can easily learn one or two coding steps.
For the younger set (PreK and up), ScratchJr, a free iPad app, is a better fit. The Official ScratchJr Book: Help your Kids to Code by Marina Bers and Mitchel Resnick is your best guide.
Maybe you will discover a new book that you prefer, Scratch is becoming more and more popular each year.
