To parents, we can't tell our kids to do well in school and then fail to support them when they get home. You can’t just contract out parenting. For our kids to excel, we have to accept our responsibility to help them learn. That means putting away the Xbox and putting our kids to bed at a reasonable hour. It means attending those parent-teacher conferences and reading to our children and helping them with their homework.

(U.S. Department of Education: Parent Power: Build the Bridge to Success)
Research has proven that students who have parents who are actively involved in their education are far more successful than students who do not have parents who foster and support education at home.
I want to support you as you support your child's success.
I enjoy working with all types of students with different skills, abilities, experiences, backgrounds, and interests. It is unfortunate that often-times my experiences working with parents and students is the result of a disciplinary or behavior situation. However, I truly do care about ALL students, even when there are behavioral, disciplinary or academic issues to be addressed. I chose the profession of education because I have the best interest of children at heart. In order for our school to be a safe place that facilitates learning, students must be held accountable for their actions.
The world is full of negative energy and influences.
There are people who negatively challenge each other outside the walls of this school.
Let's not be against each other, too.
Let's work together, as a team, to help your child become a happy, healthy, productive citizen of the 21st century.
