You get three warnings over the course of the entire semester, after your third warning Admin will be called in to confiscate your phone. Howdy!
I'm Mr. Snead. Teaching is my passion and I get to teach the coolest classes with the coolest kids. I'm a huge nerd. I play lots of video games, board games, and tabletop role-playing games in my free time. I really like heavy metal music and can sometimes be caught jamming in the halls and in my car.
My background is in engineering and graphic design. I have my BA in Technology Engineering and Design Education from NC State (go Pack!) as well as a minor in Graphic Communication. I actually started college as a Civil Engineer but switched when I realized that was not what I wanted to do as a profession (mechanics of soils and structural analysis II were also kicking my butt). I've worked a lot of jobs but the most applicable was probably my year doing software QA work for a 3D Modeling company called Geomagic (they got bought out a while ago).
I started teaching here at HSHS in Fall 2017 and have taught a variety of courses. Technology Engineering & Design, Drafting, Digital Design, and Game Design. My specialty is in working with technology. I was the robotics advisor from 2018-19 to 2022-23 and I advise several clubs, primarily the Internet Culture Club, the Game Design Club, and the ESports Club.
