For Parents

Birthday Celebrations:

We will always have a special moment in class to recognize student birthdays. You may contact your child's classroom teacher for more information about individual classroom policies.

Homework :

Homework is given to help reinforce classroom learning and strengthen skills learned in class. Your child may need some guidance/support at home to complete the homework. We urge you to provide gentle support. Please do not try to correct or have your child fix every little mistake made. Choose one or two things to focus on each week. For example, if you notice your child misspells many sight words in their writing, focus on just one of those sight words each day until you see growth.  Building your learner's confidence especially the first 6-8 weeks of school will be more beneficial to growing an independent learner.

Lunch Money :

If you need to send in lunch money, please send it in an envelope with your child's name on it and the words "Lunch Money" or "Cafeteria Account". You do have the option to send in a larger sum or check at the start of the schools year or for each month to make daily lunch orders easier. If you do NOT want your child to purchase breakfast, lunch or snack from the school cafeteria, you should put that in writing to the cafeteria.

PTA:

All flyers, fundraisers, flower sales and events organized by the PTA are handled solely by the PTA. If you send in a slip or order form for the PTA, please out it in an envelope labeled PTA. It is helpful to add your child's name and the event name as well.
