The progressive is also called the continuous (in Swedish it's called ing-form).
The progressive, -ing form, does not exist in Swedish.
For example, you cannot say "Jag är gående till skolan", but you can say "I am walking to school".
The languages are different and it is important to know when you should use which form of the verb,
otherwise your English will sound like "Jag är gående till skolan", and I am sure you want your English
to be better than that.
