Concurrent Lines
Three or more lines that intersect in one point.
Point of Concurrency
The point at which the concurrent lines intersect.
Median
A segment whose endpoints are a vertex and the midpoint of the opposite side.
Altitude
The perpendicular segment from a vertex to the line containing the opposite side.
Centroid
The point of concurrency of the medians in a triangle.
Orthocenter
The point of concurrency of the altitudes in a triangle.
Incenter
The point of concurrency of the angle bisectors in a triangle.
Circumcenter
The point of concurrency of the perpendicular bisectors in a triangle.
Quadrilateral
A four sided polygon.
Rhombus
a parallelogram with four congruent sides
Rectangle
a parallelogram with four right angles.
Parallelogram
a quadrilateral with both pairs of opposite sides parallel
Kite
a quadrilateral with two pairs of adjacent sides congruent and no opposite sides congruent
Trapezoid
a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides
Isosceles Trapezoid
a trapezoid whose nonparallel opposite sides are congruent

a parallelogram with four congruent sides and four right angles
