Addison M

My picture is the Apple Maps logo. I used equations of circles, parabolas, and line segments to create this image.

Allison M

This is a picture of a mountain logo with a sunset. I used linear (Equation 55), quadratic (Equation 69), square root (Equation 66), absolute value (Equation 74), and circle equations (Equation 42) in creating my picture. Equations 5 and 6 are both good examples of shading!

I used various combinations of linear (Ex. Equation 5), quadratic (Ex. Equation 253), absolute value (Ex. Equation 320), square root (Ex. Equation 68), and circle equations (Ex. Equation 206) to create my picture. A good example of shading is equation 112 and equation 122. My picture is of an area at Stanford University in California. There is a fountain in front, 4 grass patches surrounding the fountain, a building in the back, and 2 hallways branching off from either side of the main building. I decided to exclude the trees from the image because they would ultimately make it look very unnatural with the limited coloring and shading options. This took me about 1 week and 350 equations to complete (Yes, I did work on it at home).

My project art is a depiction of the dinosaur from the dinosaur game jumping over a cactus, with a cloud in the sky.

I have linear functions (22), quadratic functions (8), circles and ellipses (80), square root (86), and absolute value (52).

I shaded the cloud and the cactus in this drawing, as well as the eye of the dinosaur. Some shaded equations include 8, 80, and 85.

1. For my picture, I drew the cartoon character Ferb, from the Disney show Phineas and Ferb

2. For an example of a linear function, you can look at equation 2

For an example of a circle function, you can look at equation 9

For an example of a quadratic function, you can look at equation 21

For an example of a cubic function, you can look at equation 7

For an example of an absolute value function, you can look at equation 19

For an example of an exponential function, you can look at equation 67

3. For examples of shading, you can look at equations 40, 44, 49, 51, 56, 106, and 123

I drew a character from a game called Doodle Jump. I also drew accessories from the game like the UFO and the Jet Pack. The types of equations I have are linear at number 35, ellipse at 30, parabola at 54, cubic at 22, and circle at 65. An example of shading I have is at equation 50.
