Children will have an inside playtime as well as an outside recess (weather permitting).

12. What if my child has beginning school blues?

It is not uncommon for children to put up a fuss about coming to school. It is a big adjustment for them. Pre-school was lots of play and not much work. The pace was slow. In Kindergarten we have much more work to do and less play during the day. Please know that if your child is crying when you send him/her to school, the crying does not continue all day. By the time we start class the tears have stopped. it may take all of September for some children to get into the swing of things.

13. Can my child bring a favorite toy to help in the ease of adjustment?

To prevent student conflicts over toys from home it is preferred your child keeps all toys at home. A better option is to put a picture in your child's lunchbox. It's a comfort for your child to see you as they eat.
