The Multi-Tiered System of Support team (MTSS)Â is composed of teachers, administrators, and interventionists who meet regularly to discuss students referred for academic or behavioral concerns, with documented interventions taking place in the classroom. Waterloo Local Schools are committed to ensuring that every student is engaged in the learning process. To support this commitment, the MTSS collaborates with classroom teachers to intervene early and monitor individual student progress. Students referred to the MTSS receive a remediation plan that includes more intensive instruction and ongoing progress monitoring.
