This is Mr. Whetman’s 10th year at Utah Online High School and he is so excited to work with the teachers, staff, and students. Mr. Whetman was born and raised in the booming metropolis of Cedar City, UT. He has also lived in Logan, UT, Lehi, UT, and Madrid Spain.
Mr. Whetman loves education and enjoys learning. He received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics Education at Southern Utah University (SUU) in 2011 and his Masters of Education at SUU in 2017. He taught one year at Willowcreek Middle School in Lehi, UT and 3 years at Cedar High School. During his time teaching Mathematics, Mr. Whetman has had the privilege of teaching Math 7, Algebra 1, Algebra 1A, Math Essentials, Secondary Math 1, Secondary Math 2, Secondary Math 3, Pre-Calculus, College Prep Math, Math 1010, Math 1030, Math 1040, and Math 1050.
Mr. Whetman married his gorgeous wife in 2006, and they have four wonderful children. He enjoys spending time with his family and loves to see them grow. They are the true joy of his life.
During his free time, Mr. Whetman enjoys lifting weights, riding bikes, reading, working in the yard, watching football, and persevering through difficult math problems. Math is his passion, and he always loves to take on a good math problem.
