The JEOL 2100F Field Emission Transmission Electron Microscope is located in a dedicated 300 ft2 laboratory in the Center for Nanostructure Characterization (CeNaC) at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez Campus. The instrument has a Scanning Image Device (STEM), a Gatan CCD camera, a Dark Field (DF) detector and an Oxford INCA EDS detector. During fiscal year 2015-2016, after a merit evaluation we will be running the first samples of projects for free. However, subsequent samples will be charged $100 per experimental hour.
