Welcome to my academic profile page.

My name is Wrya Abdullah and I am currently a associate professor at University of Suaimani. I have a PhD degree in structural engineering and my (MSc) degree is in Earthquake and Dynamic Engineering. I teach in the Civil Department- college Engineering at University of Sulaimani in Kurdistan Region,Iraq.

My duties and responsibilities change each year.

The main purpose of this page is to update the recent works I am busy with and to guide my students here.

Research works

I have worked on several topics:

1- Strengthening building elements using metal straps in a practical approach.

2- Reusing different types of materials in reinforcing concrete instead of the conventional ingredients of concrete and as replacements for steel bars.

3- Testing bars of grade 80 ksi with mechanical splices in air and in large- scale shear walls.
