Biography
Wrya Abdullah is an associate professor at University of Sulaimania. He holds BSc in Building and Construction Engineering and MSc in Earthquake and Dynamic Engineering. He has a PhD degree in Structural Engineering. He has taught different courses through out his academic career including Mathematics, Computer Programming, Building Construction and Surveying in the Civil Engineering Department in the University of Sulaimani. He is knowledgeable in structural dynamics, dynamic analysis of the structures, structural analysis in general, reinforced concrete building analysis and design, seismic analysis and design of reinforced concrete frame buildings. When it comes to practical works, he has worked as a structural designer and a consultant in many projects Rania and Chamchamal, Darbandikhan and Sulaimani. Recently, he worked on the sustainability of the materials. He has published more than 20 papers in different journals. He is a reviewer in different international and global journals. He worked on revising ACI318 code by carrying out research at University of Texas at San Antonio. He is an associate professor teaching MSc students.
