My Philosophy in Teaching

My teaching philosophy is based on effective learning, for instance; Teaching should stimulate thinking, develop students’ potential and foster their learning ability. Effective learning are crucial for students and requires a collaboration between teacher and students in mutual respect and trust, and also creating effective environments where student are actively participating and engaging with new knowledge.

Throughout my formal education to the present time, I have been teaching chemistry science since 2009. During my teaching experience, whenever the students could not grasp certain concepts/principles I had to break it down into its simplest form and exhibit a great deal of patience. This required an excellent use of communication skills in order to convey concepts in a concise and understandable way for the student.

Laboratory work required impeccable time keeping, organization skills and the ability to work in a precise manner. As a lecturer, it is my responsibility to provide a high degree of organizational skills, such as prioritizing; forward planning and working in a precise manner are integral to the success of experiments.
