Position: I am currently a an assistant professor  at the University of Sulaimani/ Iraqi Kurdistan Region. I work in Soil and Water Sciences Department/ Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.

Field of study: My professional interest is Environmental Science.  
Dissertation Title: Valuation of ambient air pollution: A study of some urban areas in Sulaimani City and its Surrounding/ Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

A-Graduate students, (M Sc. Students): Instrumental Analysis; Plant Ecology; Environment 
     impacts on soil.
B-Undergraduate Students:

  • First Year (Freshman Grade): General Chemistry; Analytical Chemistry.
  • Second Year (Sophomore Grade): No lectures have been given by me.
  • Third Year (Junior Grade): Quantitative Chemical Analysis; EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment).
  • Fourth Year (Senior Grade): Soil, Water and Plant Analysis; Atmospheric Chemistry and Air Pollution.

 Research Interests: My main interest remains in the field of environmental science and pollution and also to investigate how to protect the environment.

 Publications: Five journal articles and other papers are under processing.

 Seminars and Presentations: I have held more than 15 seminars about environmental issues.

 Reviewed Papers and Examining Committee for M Sc Students: Reviewing seven research papers and member of four examination committees.

 Administration and Committee Memberships:  From May 2005 until October 2008, Head of Soil and Water Sciences Dept. / Faculty of Agricultural Sciences/ University of Sulaimani. Furthermore, chairman or member in numerous standing and special committees during my service period.

 Industrial Experience: From September 2000 to December 2004, working at Merck KGaA Company of Chemical Production/ Darmstadt, Germany.     

Other Activities: Attending in many workshops and participating in numerous different mass Medias, such  as a TV and Radio programs regarding the environmental issues.

In my free time I volunteer for an environmental awareness and protection with the NGOs
