About
I am a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, College of Science, University of Sulaimani, Kurdistan Region, Iraq.
I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, and my research is primarily in combinatorial commutative algebra, with particular interests in the connections among commutative algebra, combinatorics, graph theory, and simplicial complexes.
My academic work combines research and teaching, with an emphasis on understanding algebraic and combinatorial structures through their associated invariants and homological properties.
Research Interests
My research focuses on problems at the interface of commutative algebra and combinatorics. I am particularly interested in the algebraic and homological properties of combinatorial objects arising from graphs and simplicial complexes.
My main research interests include:
- Combinatorial commutative algebra
- Monomial and edge ideals
- Graded Betti numbers and minimal free resolutions
- Castelnuovo–Mumford regularity
- Stanley–Reisner theory and simplicial complexes
- Cohen–Macaulayness, shellability, and vertex decomposability
- Algebraic and structural graph theory
Teaching
I teach undergraduate mathematics courses at the University of Sulaimani. My teaching focuses on developing mathematical reasoning, conceptual understanding, rigorous problem solving, and clear mathematical communication.
Courses I have taught include:
Foundations of Mathematics
Calculus
Finite Mathematics
Advanced Calculus
Linear Algebra
Numerical Analysis with MATLAB
Graph Theory
Commutative Algebra

Teaching Philosophy
I aim to help students develop logical reasoning, conceptual understanding, and strong problem-solving skills, while showing how abstract mathematical ideas connect to applications.
