Outline Biography

Hiwa Jamal Kareem, born at the city of Sulaimani, I have studied my primary school at Zargata and Zhilwan schools, and then studied my secondary school at Nali boy’s and studied my high school at Shorsh boy’s school, after that I studied Geology Science at university of Sulaimani, after my graduation I stayed in Geology science department and I worked as an assistant geology. I have received MSc 2015, BSc degree 2008. Now I am Assistant Lecturer of the Geology Department at University of Sulaimani.

Employment activities:

• Assistant Lecturer in Geology Department since 2015.
• Administrator (Assistant Geologist) in Geology Department, since 2008 to 2012.
• Member of TQA (Teaching Quality Assurance) at the Geology department since 2015.

In Sulaimani University:

• Teaching (Optical Mineralogy, Mineralogy)
• Leading Filed geology training course.

Research Interests

My research interest includes the following fields;

1. Mineralogy
2. Optical Mineralogy
3. Pegmatite
4. Igneous and Metamorphic petrology
