Outline Biography

My name is Harem Omer Qadir. I got married and have two children. I am a PhD student now and working as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Sulaimani since 2012. Currently, I am teaching a structural geology of 3rd Stage geology. I have 7 years of teaching experience in various fields such as Structural Geology, Geotectonics, geomorphology, geology of Iraq, mineralogy and Computer Science.

• I got MSc in “Structural Geology with Geophysics” at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom in 2012.
• I became a member, as demonstrator, at the Department of Geology, University of Sulaimani from 2007 to 2010.
• I got BSc in Geology, Department of Geology, University of Sulaimani in 2007.

I am currently working on four research papers about structural geology of Iraqi Kurdistan Region. I am member of Kurdistan Geologists Society and American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). I participated in many workshops, conference and training courses outside and inside of Iraq such as International DAAD-GRI summer school (2013) held by TU BERGAKADEMIE, Freiberg-Germany. I am speaking Kurdish. Arabic and English languages. I got IELTS certification with degree of 6.0, Leeds, UK. I have a good computer skill and working with many software for instance; Petrel, Kingdom Suit, Rokdoc, Midland Valley (Move software), CorelDraw, Microsoft Office, Grapher and Surfer.
