Meet the Teacher

I have lived in Camarillo my entire life and have no plans to leave this wonderful area. I received my degree in Environmental Science, Technology, & Policy for California State University, Monterey Bay in 2012. After spending a couple of years in the world of environmental consulting, I discovered that my true purpose in life is helping young adults achieve more and develop a love for learning. I received my teaching credential from California State University, Channel Islands in 2014 and my master's degree in 2018. In my free time I enjoy cheering on the boys in blue (Go Dodgers!), spending time outdoors, playing softball, and soaking up all the time I can get with my wife, our dogs, Wicklow and Dalkey (both named for cities in Ireland), and my beautiful daughters, Marigold (2 years old) and Juniper (7 weeks old).

The 2022-2023 school year will mark my eighth year teaching at UPCS. I believe that anyone can be successful in any school subject with the right attitude, supports, and learning environment. My own middle school years were among the most difficult in my life and I am dedicating my career to try and improve that for the next generation as much as possible. This year, I really want to focus my efforts on creating an environment where all students can feel safe and comfortable being who they are and sharing their ideas in class.
