Statistical physics of fractal dynamical systems
My early investigations in the group of Paolo Grigolini (Department of Physics, Pisa (Italy)) aimed to establish a link between the microscopic dynamics (scaling of long-range temporal correlations) and the macroscopic thermodynamics (Kolmogorov and Tsallis entropy) of unidimensional dynamical systems exhibiting long-range fractal properties (Buiatti et al., 1999a, Buiatti et al., 1999b).
