All students will work in small groups or individually with teachers throughout the week. When you are not working with a teacher, you must complete as many tasks on this 'menu' of choices. How many ways can you make tic-tac-toe? If you have completed one choice, do not repeat it unless all of the others are done.

Literacy Menu

  • Choose a big book or several smaller books on your reading level.
  • Stay in one place the whole time.
  • Stay focused and practice CAFE strategies (Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanding vocabulary)
  • Develop Reading Stamina.
  • Raz Kids (try to 'level up!)
  • Sit EEKK (Elbow-Elbow or Knee-Knee)
  • I Read-You Read
  • Take turns and practice CAFE strategies (Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanding vocabulary)
  • Stay focused
  • Develop Reading Stamina.

  • Add books to your bookshelf on Biblionasium or in your printed booklog list.
  • Record how long you have spent reading this week.

Library: Go to the library and exchange your books.

Home Reader Bag: Go to the book room and check out books on your reading level.

  • Practice improving your typing or handwriting.

  • Draft, Revise, Edit or Publish any type of writing.
