Short Bio

I am associate professor of Econometrics at the Department of Economics and Law, Sapienza University of Rome.

I obtained the Italian national scientific qualification (abilitazione scientifica nazionale) as Full Professor (professore ordinario) of Applied Economics (sector 13/A4), and as Associate professor in Econometrics (13/A5), Political Economy (13/A1), Economic Policy (13/A2), and Applied Economics (13/A4).

Previous positions: 

researcher at the Italian National Institute of Statistics (2011-2018);

researcher at the Intitute for Studies and Economic Analyses (2005-2010);

postdoc at the Intitute for Studies and Economic Analyses (2001-2004);

scholarship at the Italian Trade Agency  (2000).

I hold a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Statistics, La Sapienza University of Rome, a Msc in Finance from the Birkbeck College, University of London and the degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, University of Rome Tor Vergata.

My research interests are about the estimation of causal effects with special attention to the impacts of public policy programs. I am also interested in R&D, innovation and imitation.

I am member of the Research Group on the Analysis of Economic Policies  (GRAPE).
