CURRICULUM

Domenico Caputo is Associate Professor with tenure at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He teaches "Electronics" for Clinical Engineering and "Biomedical Equipment and Techniques" for Biomedical Engineering. He also teaches "Basics of Electronics" for Medicine and Surgery High Technology.

He is coauthor of more than 120 papers on international journals and 150 proceedings of international conferences. He is referee of several scientific journals in the field of both electronic and biomedical devices, has participated to several conferences as invited speaker and has been chairman of several international conferences.

His main research fields concerned the development of amorphous silicon photodetectors for detection of radiation from the UV to the near infrared range and of innovative electronic devices based on amorphous silicon. The present research interest is focused on the development of thin film photodetector and Lab-on-Chip device for DNA and mycotoxin detection. He has been the PI of a bilateral China-Italy project "ADD-Health" (2019-2021), the Scientific Co-Head of the European projects: "OTASENS" (2009-2011) and "DEMOTOX" (2013-2015) in the European Community's Seventh Framework and has been the PI of several National Research Projects.
