Unionville Volunteer Fire Dept

The Volunteer Side

The Unionville Volunteer Fire Department is the same group that makes up the active fire department roster, however, the Volunteer Fire Department is the group responsible for community outreach, fundraising for new equipment and other non-incident or training related requests.

The Unionville Volunteer Fire Department hosts fundraisers and participates in Community Events year round

AKA "Touch a Truck"

The Volunteer Fire Department educates the community on our equipment and also provides a little bit of fun while we're at it.

Safety Day
at kohl Farms

Now an Annual Tradition, the Volunteer Fire Department takes the trucks and equipment over to Kohl Farms for Safety Day. Unionville Volunteer Fire along with local law enforcement, ACW Ambulance, and Elmwood Gagetown Fire Department educate the community on our equipment and what we all do. For 2023, this event will also feature Breakfast with a Hero!

Community Requests

The Volunteer Fire Department also responds to reasonable requests for community education, tours, or parades.

The ACW Fire Board, the ACW-Unionville Fire Department, and the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department all have a strong relationship with our local communities!

Thanks to you...

With the fundraising efforts through the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department, the ACW-Unionville Fire Department has been able to obtain life-saving equipment or start new life-saving programs such as our Ice-Rescue Program!

Since its inception 4 years ago, the UFD Ice Rescue Program has grown to include 8 active members with suits and has responded to multiple incidents each winter. We continue to grow and today this is now a joint venture funded by both the ACW-Unionville Fire Department through the Fire Board and the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department.

We couldn't be where we are today if it weren't for the overwhelming support from our communities!
