Simply put, we are you!
The ACW-Unionville Fire Department is made up of members of our local communities that wanted to help serve and respond to calls. We respond to these calls day and night, 365 days a year. Each of us, just like you, lives and works within the communities we serve and surrounding areas. Most members are also full-time employees or students in addition to the commitment we've made to the ACW-Unionville Fire Department.

The ACW-Unionville Fire Department responds to calls with volunteer, paid-on-call firefighters.
How can someone be a paid volunteer? The firefighters are paid to train and respond to a multitude of incidents ranging from traffic control requests to large fires, however, there is much more going on behind the scenes. Some of the life-saving equipment we use for these calls has been either purchased in full by the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department or as a joint purchase by the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department and the ACW-Unionville Fire Board.
The Unionville Volunteer Fire Department fundraises through multiple activities that are 100% volunteered events. Click Here to learn more about these events and the Unionville Volunteer Fire Department.
Unlike a full time paid job, however, we never know when the pager will go off. It could be at 2pm or 2am or right in the middle of a holiday dinner. Regardless of when we get called, we drop what we are doing to respond.
