Past SLC Achievements

The Student Leadership Council has impacted student life in a number of ways, driving creation of and advocating improvements such as:

  • Core course waiver exams, allowing PT-MBA students to test out of selected core courses. For more information, see Step 5 - Course Waivers on this welcome page.

  • Flexible course formats - Condensed and online course options give part-time students greater flexibility in balancing school with work and home.

  • Part-Time Clubs offer students a way to engage within and beyond the part-time program. See PT-MBA Clubs for more information about current offerings, and Events to learn about signature club programming.

  • Careers and Beers, offering a unique take on career development and networking with fast-paced, TED-style career talks from students, staff, alumni, and guest speakers.

  • Increased access to case competitions for part-time students.

  • Improved stoplight timing outside of the 19th Avenue Ramp - Through Student Affairs, SLC worked with the City of Minneapolis to change stoplight timing to alleviate 40+ minute traffic jams in the 19th Avenue Ramp.
