Q. Does the Consulting Club execute consulting engagements?

Q. Is the Carlson MBA Consulting Club open to students outside of the MBA program?

A. No, the club is internally funded by the MBAA, and events are organized with a focus for students in the program.

Q. Does the Club cater to students interested in internal consulting?

A. Yes - the Club does make an effort to bring in organizations with internal consulting capabilities and prepare students who are interested in these roles.

Q. Which firms do you work with / Would you consider organizing events with firms that do not recruit on campus?

A. The Club focuses on working with firms that have a history of recruiting MBA students at Carlson. This is not to say that the Club wouldn't consider working with firms that do not / have not recruited at the school in the past.

Q. Do you teach students how to "do" a case interview?

A. Not exactly. The Club creates a mechanism for you to practice case interviews with fellow students and discuss the lessons learned from the cases we distribute. The Club is also happy to suggest additional resources for learning case interview methods on your own.
