About:
General Information
The University of Minnesota Anthropology Club is composed of undergraduate students interested in the study of anthropology. We welcome students from any major or minor to come participate in our bi-weekly meetings (Mon. 5:00-6:00pm). For dates please view the calendar. Meetings are hosted in our clubroom in the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs on West Bank (HHH 385).
Our discussions focus on different topics in anthropology, and cycle through the four subfields. Topics will be posted in our e-newsletter, and on our calendar.
Additionally, we host special events, such as socials, movie screenings, and game nights. These opportunities will be advertised on our social media platforms and in our e-newsletter.
Conference
Our biggest event of the year is our annual undergraduate anthropology conference, which the club has hosted for 44 consecutive years.
Tickets to our 2024 conference, The Anthropology of Food, can be found here.
If you are a student interested in presenting their research at this event, please contact us at anthro@umn.edu.
Feel free to check out past conference themes and posters here.
