Abstract Submission Guidelines

Submission Instructions

• ABSTRACTS ARE DUE MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd, 2021.

• All EHS doctoral candidates, ETEP trainee or not, are required to present during the symposium poster session.

• All other EHS students and trainees are strongly encouraged to participate.

• Abstracts may be uploaded using the symposium registration link.

• Abstract books will be available for download as a PDF.

• In the event an abstract needs to be withdrawn, please send an e-mail to rkmorgan@umich.edu.

• Status on individual abstract submissions will be communicated via email a few days after the abstract submission deadline, if necessary.

Guidelines for Authorship

• Presenters may be first author for only one abstract, however, they may be co-author on multiple abstracts.

• The symposium committee may request that multiple abstracts from a single study be merged into a single presentation.

• The symposium committee reserves the right to modify abstracts as deemed necessary.

• The first author is responsible for presenting their work during the virtual poster session.

Abstract Content Guidelines

• Use default font for all submissions.

• Abstracts should be limited to 3000 characters (approximately 3/4 page (US Letter 8.5" x 11" with one inch margins)).

• Abstract title, authors, and author affiliations should be included in the abstract document and count towards the character limit.

• All abstracts must include a concise description of results.

• Define all acronyms.
