Earth 351 - Structural Geology

Field trip to Bear Valley Strip Mine, Shamokin, PA.

Structural Geology (Earth 351, 4 credits) is the introductory structural geology class for undergraduate geology majors. The course consists of three 1-hour lectures each week and a three-hour lab period. Earth 351 is one of the core courses in the Earth and Environmental Sciences concentration. Introductory Earth Structure (Earth 451, 3 credits) consists of only the lecture portion of Earth 351. Earth 451 is being phased out with the adoption of the new Earth and Environmental Sciences curriculum, and is currently only available with permission of the instructor.

During the Winter 2013 term, lectures will be held MWF from 9-10 am in 2520 C C Little Building. Labs are scheduled on M and T from 3–6 pm in 3526 C C Little Building. Lab schedules may be flexible dependent on student needs. Office hours will be announced at the beginning of the term.

Earth 451 - Introductory Earth Structure, used to be co-taught with Earth 351, but is no longer regularly offered.
