Stochastic Modeling of Chemotherapy Treatment for Cancer with A Large Deviation Principle:
Mentor: Hyejin Kim, Students: Zachary Bezemek, Robert Lucas, Casey Saenz, and Zachary Shay.
Linear fractional transformations on $\mathbb{D}^2$:
Mentor: John Clifford, Students: Amanda Cowell, Timothy Hollman, Sarah Strikwerda, and Erin Wallace.
Outcomes:
All students presented at the 2017 Summer Undergraduate Michigan Mathematics Research Conference at the Grand Valley State University on July 14, 2017.
Zachary Bezemek was invited to "Summer Undergraduate Capstone Conference'' at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute (MBI) from August 7, 2017 to August 11, 2017 with travel support. He gave both an oral presentation and a poster presentation ''Stochastic Modeling of Chemotherapy Treatment for Cancer with A Large Deviation Principle'' at MBI.
Tawfik Abbas, Maddie Brown, Ravi Ramasami, Yunus Zeytuncu have uploaded to ArXiv their paper "Spectrum of the Kohn Laplacian on the Rossi sphere", and submitted to a journal for publication.
Tawfik Abbas, Maddie Brown, and Ravi Ramasami were invited for twenty-minute oral presentation, "Spectrum $\box_b^t$ on the 3-sphere", at the Young Mathematicians Conference which was held at the Ohio State University from August 11 to August 13 with travel support.
Amanda Cowell Erin Wallace, Sarah Strikwerda, and Timothy Hollman were invited for a poster presentation, "Linear fractional transformations on $\mathbb{D}^2$" at the Young Mathematicians Conference which was held at the Ohio State University from August 11 to August 13 with travel support.
Tawfik Abbas and Maddie Brown are invited to present at the CUR REU Symposium 2017 in Washington, DC.
Maddie Brown was invited to attend "Graduate Research Opportunities for Women (GROW)" conference, October 13-15, 2017.
