As a matter of convention we have adopted a system of naming revisions to the FITS files after characters from great works of English Literature. If the revision has been applied to a FITS file, then the comment "So-and-so was here" will appear in the FITS header. The following table is the reference guide for these revisions.
The LAST release version of the database is version X. The CURRENT release version of the database is V1.0. The NEXT version slated for release is V1.2.
