Expectations & Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements

In order for Firecats to participate in athletics at UIC College Prep, they must meet the eligibility requirements for the school and Noble Network. To be eligible to practice and play, students must be in good academic standing, which means passing all of their classes and maintaining a GPA of at least a 2.3 current and cumulative. If at any time a student/athlete becomes ineligible during the season, he or she may become eligible again during that same season once good academic standing is reflected on an official progress report.

For more information on athletic participation and expectations, please see the Noble Sports Handbook below.

Good Sportsmanship

We at UIC College Prep emphasize the importance of playing extra curricular activities the right way. Displaying good sportsmanship during athletic contests is an essential piece in maintaining our standard. Firecat student/athletes not only represent themselves when they compete in their respective sports, they represent our school as well. Thus, we have high expectations for our student/athletes to demonstrate respect towards opposing players, coaches, officials, fans, and themselves at all contests.

Coaches, parents, staff, and other students also play an important role in encouraging and modeling good sportsmanship for our athletes at practices, meets, and games, which will assist our student/athletes in being successful both on and off the field of play.
