Ceiling Tile
We replaced a 13 x 7 grid => (approximately 90 tiles) above the CAVE2 with high sound absorption (NRC 0.80 - 1.15) rated acoustic ceiling tiles. Each tile is 2' x 4' x 1" thick fiberglass with a black matte facing.

Flooring
For the CAVE2 floor area we used approximately 250 (~20" x 20") carpet tiles. We chose a partially recycled fiber, textured product rated for high-traffic and low maintenance.

Signage
Boxed metallic silver (16 Ga.) sheet aluminum panel (24" x 60" x 2")
2" deep brushed finish stainless steel letters w/ backlit illumination LED
The CAVE2 sign was delivered incomplete electrically and mechanically. We added structural support and mounting fixture, wired the LED's and power supply as well as adding an on/off switch and power cable.
HVAC
Our 72 display tiles can each dissipate ~300W at maximum => 21kWatts, requiring ~6 Tons of refrigeration.
The nominal heat load is likely ~160W per display or about 10kW.
We modified an existing 7.5 Ton Trane air-handling system located in our machine room. It featured thermostat control, a main supply duct above the lab ceiling and 6" supply branches. This system is an auxiliary to the house HVAC distribution which is uncontrolled and typically provides full-on (excessive) heating and cooling in the winter and summer seasons respectively.
We capped the existing supply ducts and added three new Titus PSS 24” x 24” lay-in type supply diffusers in a triangular pattern above the CAVE2. The new diffusers have flexible 12" ducts so that they can be moved to adjacent ceiling tiles as desired. We also added flow balancing to the existing 12" branch to move more air into the CAVE2 environment.
