Displays
Each display (72) module requires one power cable and one each video and comm cable connecting the module to its corresponding quad controller/power supply. 50', 60', 70' and 80' lengths were ordered to accomodate the required runs around the CAVE2 cylinder and minimize bulk at the endpoints.

Quad Power and Controller Modules
Each Power and Controller Quad pairs (18) are patched together via their PS MON and 24V DC ports by Planar supplied Cat6 and power patch cables respectively. A partial RS-485 control loop interconnects each controller module in daisy-chain (RS-485 OUT to RS-485 IN on the next module). Additionally, a single RS-232 connection from Quad Controller A to the Head-Node comm port provides for serial control of the entire Planar system.

RS-485 Cat6 network cable - User supplied
RS-232 Cat6 network cable - User supplied
Power
We supplied power cables for the (18) Quad Power Modules and (38) Compute Nodes. Additionally we supplied (3) string extension cords around the truss ring for speaker power.
240 VAC power cable, 14/3, IEC C14-C13, varying lengths 1', 2', 4' Link
E-string orchestra cord, lighted, 6 outlet Link
Video
Each Compute Node (36) has two video cards each with DVI, HDMI and Display Port connections. Spacing would not allow two HDMI or two Display Port cables to be connected simultaneously. The connections at the Quad Controller are DVI, therefore we used one DVI port and one HDMI port at each node.

video cable, DVI-D x HDMI, 3'
Network
Each Compute Node has a 10G interconnection in addition to a 10G connection to the outside world (CAVEWave). An IPMI connection allows direct hardware-level communication from the Head-Node to the motherboard independent of the operating system for remote out-of-band control.

Audio
Each speaker is wired from the audio rack with staggered length shielded 1/4" audio cables adapted to RCA-male at the speaker.

Console
Two remote consoles for the Windows and Linux Head-Nodes are provided at the CAVE2 operators bench just outside the perimeter. Each is connected using LC fiber extensions combined with Ophit DVI/fiber-optic transceivers for the displays and USB extenders over Cat5 for the keyboard and mouse. A USB key for convenient model data loading into the Linux Head-Node is connected via a long USB 2.0 extension that terminates near the iPad control tablet at the CAVE2 entrance.
