This summer we would like to try something new. We raised a lot of money this year to purchase leveled readers for our Bibliobus/Lending Library. These resources have been a great success helping students make a reading connection between school and home. To continue to share these resources over the summer, staff have volunteered to make the French and English reading carts available to students for lending. What does this mean for your child? Every Thursday between 9 and 10am you can show up at the front doors to École Guelph Lake and sign out two leveled readers which can then be exchanged every Thursday. Can’t make it every week we understand, come when you can. We often see a decline in reading level when students return from summer vacation likely due to lack of French reading and speaking. Taking advantage of this will help your child to continue to progress over the summer months with their reading.
