The first project will be a birdhouse found here.
The second project is an endgrain breadboard found here.
Final Project: (Due at the end of the Semester)
Students have to opportunity to choose their final project.
Students must have their choice approved by the teacher to ensure that the following criteria is met:
Must be able to complete in in the time period available.
Must be able to fit their budget.
Must have a proper step by step set of instructions printed out to work from.
Must complete a Sketchup model to be uploaded to the Google Classroom.
Must have procured materials in a timely manner. (either from the shop or brought into the shop)
Culminating Project Expectations by end of Semester:

Actual Project Handed in for Final Evaluation
Projects will be evaluated based on this rubric (https://sites.google.com/a/ugcloud.ca/mr-riddolls/rubrics-and-marking/student-self-evaluation-form)- 60%
Observation marks (work habits, final shop cleanup and inventory) - 15%
Exam Day will be used to complete evaluations, shop cleanup and inventory.
There are endless online resources for projects and plans. If a student finds an alternate source for project plans, they must be approved by the teacher.
Here are some of my favorite as they have great plans as well as pictures of finished projects:
(Students can print out the plans and tutorials of the above project but must also hand in a Sketchup Drawing of the project.)
