Project Considerations:
All Projects must be approved by teacher before production begins
All Projects during the semester must add up to approximately 60 hours of shop time.
A project that takes you 5 days to build is not a 20 hour equivalent project.
If you choose a project that requires materials that are not readily available at school, you must be responsible to ensure that they arrive at school so as not to hold up production of you project.
If you cannot meet the previous requirement, chose a project the uses materials available in shop.
If you choose to build your own project, take into consideration the cost. If you can't afford to build a custom project, see your teacher for assigned classroom projects that can be built instead.
If you choose a project that has a complete set of plans and/or tutorial already available, you must create a CAD model (Sketchup or Inventor) of the project that you are building. This must be handed into the proper Google Classroom folder by the due date for your project.
Be aware that there is a difference in measurement between Furniture Lumber and Construction Lumber. The actual sizes for Construction Lumber can be found here.
