About The Teacher

I started my teaching career, in January 2012, by finishing off the school year with a wonderful group of Kindergartners. From August 2012-July 2017 I taught first grade. Since August 2018 I have been teaching 5th grade. I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina but moved to Indian Land, South Carolina while I was in the third grade. I met my husband, Travis, at Indian Land High School in the 9th grade. We have a 4 year old little boy, Caiden. Caiden loves to ride his four-wheeler and play baseball with Travis. We also have two dogs, Smokey and Starr.

I received my degree in Early Childhood Education from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina. During college, I was a member of the Cheerleading and Dance program.

I am really excited about starting the year with a wonderful group of students. I can't wait to see how the students grow and develop throughout the school year.
