LIBRARY

Library is the heart of the institution and it is the knowledge paradise for the students, teachers, researchers and other users to acquire right information at right time to the right user.  College Library came into existence, with the establishment of College of Forestry, Sirsi on 01.10.1986. In addition the subsidiary library services are extended to ARSs, KVKs for the benefit of the researchers and scientists.

Library Facilities

Ø  Library is following open access system (You can pick up any book which you prefer).

Working hours:

Library is providing

Free CeRA (Consortium of e-Resources for Agriculture)

           Online Access of 2000+ journals concerned to Agriculture, Forestry and Allied sciences through the ICAR’s website: www.jgateplus.com

Borrowing of Books:

Ø  Each student will be provided 3 borrowing cards, for which you can borrow one book for each card for a period of 15 days.

Ø  If you retain the book more than 15 days, a fine of Rs.1/day will be charged as overdue charges.

Library automation is under process with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). This system allows us to keep the record digitally.

 

Library Rules

Ø  Before entering the library you have to sign in the register kept at the entrance.

Ø  Printed books and personal documents are not allowed inside the library. Only loose sheets of papers are allowed.

Ø  Action will be taken to those who try to tear out pages and stealing of books from the library. Whole library is monitored under CC camera.

Ø  Maintenance of silence in the library is must.
