The Marching Band thanks the University of Alberta Alumni Association and the Office of the Vice-President: External Relations, for their financial support and their encouragement to establish a modern-era University of Alberta marching band.
The Marching Band acknowledges the financial support of Ms. Pamela Farmer, the Crusaders Marching Band, and Witten Law which has been instrumental in allowing the initiative to form a modern-era University of Alberta marching band to move forward.
The Marching Band thanks Sharon and Elite Sportswear for their generous assistance with commemorative items produced to honor and document the initial years of the University of Alberta 21st Century Marching Band.
Important Note:
Due to previous commitments, Dr. Dust must truncate the 2026 season marching band practice and parade participation schedule. The 2026 season comprises only 5 pratices and 2 parade performances [Thorsby & St. Albert].
The truncated schedule for 2026 does not meet the minimum contact hours for a 3-credit course. Therefore, the marching band is not available as a credit course this spring but is still available as an extra-curricular activity.
In consideration of the truncated practice schedule and reduced parade performances for 2026, it is imperative that band members attend all practices and parades, to ensure that the University of Alberta Marching Band maintains the excellent standard of performance established since our founding in 2016.
Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, Inspire the Future
Dr. Tom Dust
