Caution for prospective students and postdocs
Publications by their very nature represent past work. Most scientists spend a lifetime becoming the world experts in their chosen field. I however take advantage of the fact that DNA/RNA sequencing and computational analyses are ubiquitous and move from field to field, always in collaboration with established experts in the field. Hence do not assume that what I have published is where the opportunities lie in my lab.
