Archaeological theory (particularly the impact of kinship and social structure upon economic organization, and patterns of ethnogenesis). Athapaskan language family history (especially the Apachean departure from Subarctic Canada), and the use of comparative lexica in archaeological research. Public Archaeology and heritage resource management (with particular interest in the intersection of cultural landscapes and archaeology).
