Our Journey: From Barcelona to the US and Back

Originally from Barcelona, my wife and I set out together in 2016 on an adventure to develop our careers abroad. We landed in Chicago to begin our doctoral studies; she earned her PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Physiology), while I completed mine in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences, specializing in Analytics and Operations Research. Following graduation in 2021, we moved to the Bay Area to dive into industry research. Now, in 2026, after nearly a decade abroad, my wife, my daughter, and I have decided to return to our roots in Barcelona. We are excited to apply the expertise we have gained and continue growing while being close to our families once again.
