I live in the BayArea (CA) with my wife, Anna.

We are both originally from Barcelona, Spain. Some years ago, we decided to pursue together the adventure of developing our careers abroad. We landed in Chicago, IL, in 2016 to start our doctoral studies. My wife got her PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Physiology), and I got mine in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences (Analytics and Operations Research).  After graduation, in 2021, we moved to the Bay Area (CA) to work in industry research.

Apart from doing research, we enjoy trying new restaurants and cuisines, reading in the park, watching old and new movies, and occasional hiking.

In addition, I enjoy Fine Arts (drawing/painting) and Judo. Some of my art work can be found here. I earned my Judo black belt in Barcelona, 2013. I find complementing my professional activities with these hobbies particularly enjoyable, refreshing, and valuable.
