Welcome to Ludlow Elementary School! We are a small, close-knit PreK–6 school located in the beautiful town of Ludlow, Vermont. Our school serves 83 students and is supported by a dedicated team of full-time and part-time teaching and support staff. We are proud to have an active Parent-Teacher Group, a vibrant After School Program, and an engaged community—all committed to the success and well-being of our children.
At LES, we are guided by the values of being Safe, Courteous, and Responsible, and we strive to create an environment where all students learn, grow, and succeed. Our staff is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth for every child.
To ensure that all students reach their full potential, we implement a Multi-Layered System of Supports (MLSS) for academics. This approach enables us to identify and support students who may be struggling in literacy or mathematics, helping all students make meaningful progress throughout the year.
Please take the time to carefully review this handbook, as it is updated annually and contains important information about school policies, expectations, and procedures. You can find the handbook on our website at les.trsu.org, or you may request a printed copy from our school office.
Your email address is a vital communication link between home and school. Our weekly Lion’s Pride Family News is sent via email at the end of each week along with other informational updates and emergency alerts. All copies of the Lion’s Pride Family News are also available on the school website. Please make sure your contact information is up to date.
We also invite you to join our LES PTG Facebook page for updates, reminders, and opportunities to get involved with our school community. This is a wonderful way to stay connected and support the incredible work of our Parent-Teacher Group.
If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to a successful and rewarding school year together.
Warm regards,
Dr. Debra Higuera, Ed.D.
