At LES, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed. That’s why we dedicate daily time to What I Need (WIN)—30 minutes for reading and 30 minutes for math. WIN is a structured intervention block where students receive targeted support to reteach, reinforce, enhance, or enrich skills based on their individual learning needs.
Our school teams meet weekly on Mondays to review student data and make decisions about instruction and grouping. We use a variety of sources—including state and local assessments, classroom work samples, and teacher-designed assessments—to build flexible groups that respond to students’ strengths and needs.
Each WIN cycle lasts approximately 6–8 weeks, giving us time to provide focused instruction, monitor progress, and adjust supports as needed. This cycle of review and refinement ensures that no student slips through the cracks and that every child continues to move forward.
By working together, analyzing data, and tailoring instruction, WIN helps all of our students Learn, Grow, and Succeed.
