Programme Outcome

1. PO1: Fundamentals of Agricultural Economics: Study on basic principles of economics including decision making in agriculture and macroeconomics concepts.

2. PO2: Farm Management, Production and Resource Economics: Study on principles of farm management, production economics and natural resource economics in terms of their properties, externalities and management

P PO3: Economics and Marketing: Study on the basic principles of economics including the problems in economic decision making and laws of economics relevant to farm management, marketing of agricultural commodities, risks in agricultural marketing, functioning of marketing institutions and agricultural financial analysis.

4. PO4: Agricultural Marketing Trade and Prices: Study on market concepts, marketing of agricultural commodities, domestic and export trade, risks in agricultural marketing, marketing institutions, price dynamics and market regulation by the government.

5. PO5: Agricultural Finance and Co - operation: Study on principles of finance, banking and co–operation, functions of various institutions involved in farm financing and crop insurance products implemented in India.

6. PO6: Econometric Modeling: Study on basic tools of econometrics and role of econometrics on Information Technology, application of econometric tools and time series analysis in Information Technology sector.

Method of measuring attainment of POs

Programme outcomes are periodically measured through conducting examinations and evaluations. Students are encouraged to take up assignments and prepare project proposals and execute projects guided by the mentors. Success of the programme is reflected from the students’ placements at leading national and international institutes for pursuing higher education through winning competitive and meritorious fellowships and also taking up career in reputed institutions.
