PO1.Microeconomics: Study on consumer behavior for utility maximization, firm theory to determine prices and output, general equilibrium and welfare economics.

PO2. Macroeconomics: Study on macroeconomics concepts and analysis of implications of macroeconomic policies.

PO3. Production Economics: Study on production economics principles and production economics tools for decision making.

PO4. Econometrics: Studying economic problems by applying quantitative techniques.

PO5. Economic Development Policies : Study on concepts and measures of economic development, theories of economic growth, and agricultural policies and their effects on sustainable agricultural development.

PO6.Institutional Economics: Study on the origin of institutions and their role in economic development.

PO7. Agricultural Marketing: Study on issues of agricultural marketing, and enhancing expertise in improving the performance of marketing institutions.

PO8. International Trade: Study on the role of international economics on national welfare.

PO9.Agricultural Finance and Insurance:Study on knowledge relating to disbursement of institutional finance to priority sector, credit management and financial risk management which includes features of crop insurance programmes.

PO10. Agricultural Project Analysis: Study on impact of agricultural projects and various methods to assess the financial feasibility of the project.

PO11. Natural Resource and Environmental Economics: Study on concepts of efficiency and efficiencies and allocation of natural resources and environment problems.

Method of measuring attainment of POs

Programme outcomes are periodically measured through conducting examinations and evaluations. Students are encouraged to take up assignments and prepare project proposals and execute projects guided by the mentors. Success of the programme is reflected from the students’ placements at leading national and international institutes for pursuing higher education through winning competitive and meritorious fellowships and also taking up career in reputed institutions.
